How much will a new liquor licence cost?

The overall cost of your liquor licence will vary depending on the category of liquor licence sought, whether you require any additional special authorisations, the complexity and scale of your business model and the number of mandatory process requirements.

Often, the fees and charges imposed by the NSW government make up a significant portion of our costs.

NSW government fees and charges

The NSW government imposes its own fees and charges to lodge and process a liquor licence or special authorisation application. These fees and charges are updated annually on 15 March and generally reflect the perceived risk profile of each category of licence or authorisation.

A schedule of NSW government fees and charges can be found here.

Professional fees

Our professional fees will vary depending on the complexity of the application, the number of concurrent applications or authorisations, the extent of mandatory notifications and factors such as whether a community impact statement or alcohol plan of management is required.

The starting fees for our most common applications are set out below, or contact us for a quote specific to your needs.
